Major Beneficiary

Variety Tasmania is the major beneficiary of the 2025 Hobart Airport Marathon Festival.

Variety helps Tassie kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with disability, and at risk of falling through the gaps.

Funds raised as a result of the partnership will be reinvested to expand the Variety Kids Sports Day.

In 2022 Variety piloted the idea of a day for kids of all abilities to participate in a safe, inclusive environment, to try various sports without fear of being judged. Since then Variety has worked with Tasmania’s peak sporting bodies to ensure the program is as inclusive to as many kids as it can be, and to date, over 700 Tassie Children have taken part, some of whom participated in a sporting activity for the first time.

The smiles on the kids’ faces, realising that they can participate in something that they hadn’t thought possible, compel Variety to expand the program to more kids and more locations across the State.

For more than 30 years, Variety Tasmania has been supporting local kids through their programs and experiences, and individual and community grants. Increasing quality of life, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging. Simply put, Variety helps kids, be kids.
